A thank you message from Erika

As CEO of Connected Places Catapult, I was truly encouraged by the energy, commitment and creativity shown by our global network of partners, stakeholders and participants at this year’s Connected Places Summit. Events like this demonstrate the power of collaboration and how bringing people together can help accelerate meaningful innovation and positive change at scale.
The Summit welcomed more than 1,100 delegates in person, making it a sold-out event alongside over 500 people who joined us online. We were also joined by more than 180 speakers representing a wide range of sectors, each sharing their experiences, insights and ideas.
I would like to extend my sincere thanks to our sponsors, exhibitors and partners for their support and collaboration, which played a vital role in making the Summit possible. I am also extremely grateful to the team at Connected Places Catapult whose dedication and hard work ensured the event was such a success.
The American anthropologist Margaret Mead famously said that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens is the only thing that has ever changed the world. She highlighted the power of a community in discovering what it cares about, pursuing it and driving impact.
I couldn’t agree more. Joining forces matter. So, thank you again for being part of the Summit. I look forward to continuing this journey together.
Warm regards,
Erika Lewis, CEO, Connected Places Catapult
£725bn of public infrastructure investment is committed over the next 10 years. Without deliberate action to create new business opportunities for innovation, the majority will be spent on established methods that deliver less for more. The UK can do better, and this report shows how.
